One of the sad realities of living in the West is that we have lost the true meaning of Christmas. Even within the Church and even when Jesus becomes front and center, we still struggle to capture the meaning of the incarnation and what it means for the people of God. In this series we will go to an unlikely source to help us understand the meaning of Christmas: Isaiah. Why is Isaiah a seemingly odd place to center our Christmas conversation? Because he lived 700 years before the birth of Christ. And yet his insight is invaluable to understanding this story that we cherish.
