A Theology of Marriage
Why do we get married? Should the idea that we are Christians change the answer to this question? For most of us in the Church, it doesn’t seem to make a difference. We usually get married because we love someone, want to spend our lives with them, and want to start a family with them. These aren’t bad reasons, per se, but they speak to a very underdeveloped theology of marriage within the Church. And could this be why so many marriages are struggling today? Today we look at Paul’s letter to the Ephesians to gain a new, more robust theology of marriage and we will talk about what it looks like to live into this new understanding of “two becoming one.”
Scripture: Ephesians 5:21-33
