The Scandalous Mathematics of Grace

**Scripture:** Acts 14:21-8

As Paul and Barnabas return from their first missionary journey, Luke uses a curious phrase to describe the role of the people of Antioch (where they started and ended their trip). He says they "entrusted them to the grace of God to do the work they had now completed." Emphasis on "The Grace of God." Paul and Barnabas had been entrusted to the grace of God. What does this mean? And why does Luke say it? In this week's sermon we will explore that idea.
