From Beggar to Brother

Today we read Acts 3, where we see Peter and John heal a man crippled from birth. The text said that the man, who would have not been able to enter the Temple due to his disability, then went in "with" them. But the Greek word here that gets translated as with means more than simply accompanying Peter and John. It means this man was now a part of them. He was in union with them. Jay used this story to talk about the reconciling nature of the Gospel of Jesus. When we live the Christian life well, it brings us into unity with all other Christians, no matter our race, socio-economic status, gender, etc.
